Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros along with classic ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of operas and tangos. She also loves dramatic performances. Ana began learning and singing musical instruments with her mother before beginning her training in singing when she was 16 under the renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and then in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a young student and professional, she was a part of many chamber groups and opera choruses from Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. The group she is in currently part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist of the traditional Latin American music at private performances. She has been involved in many local activities, both performer and teacher, because she is passionate about art and music. Ana was also part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently teaching for the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for the opportunity to share her love and appreciation for the traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to spread the desire for younger generations to keep this vibrant music alive.Viva Mexico!
