MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major international breakthroughs into the Latin popular music scene. Una Lady Como Tu (his smash hit from 2016) received an Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017 Favorite Song. In Medellin in 2017, Sony's La Industria Inc. released ADN his first long-player. In the Top Latin Albums chart, it ranked no. 8. Vaina Loca is the Top Five smash hit in 2010, also featured Noriel alongside Ozuna. He collaborated together with Noriel on Mala Influencia in 2020 and next year, came out with his second album, the chart-topping Dopamina. In 2021, he sang a duet for TINI's hit song Maldita Foto. 2000 which included the smash record La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo comes from a musical background, both his mother and elder brother are also musicians. In his interviews, he's described playing music as an obligation. As a child he learned to play saxophone guitar ukulele and piano. He initially wanted to be Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian convinced to him take lessons in singing with the help of a Cuban singer, he altered his career plans.
